Slowly switch from the halti to this collar (http://amzn.to/1BlaECA). This will help you to reinforce the good behavior on walks. It will also be beneficially in the house or back yard. It is a choke collar but it does not have an infinite choke but it still gets the point across. Good Luck!

would appreciate any practical advice
